Matt Liu Doubles Early

On a heads-up turn of [10d8dJc6c], Matt Liu checked over to Venkat Chivukula who bet 115,000. Liu then check-jammed all in for around 300,000 and Chivukula rubbered his chin for a few seconds before he made the call to put Liu at risk.

Liu then tabled [Qs9s] for the flopped nut straight but needed to hold against the flush draw held by Chivukula with [Kd6d]. Fortunately for Liu, the river was the brick [10s] and he was awarded the pot for the double early in Day 2.
